
Ranch Hands gives youth, ages 10 and older, an opportunity to experience the satisfaction and learning which comes from working on a small, family-owned ranch. Under the supervision of Sienna Ranch’s Animal Care and Volunteer Coordinator, Ranch Hands will engage in weekly tasks such as:
Ranch Hands hours are Sunday mornings, 9:00-12:00. Involvement in the Ranch Hands program requires a commitment by the student for the duration of the session. Work days should only be missed for reasons of sickness or vacation. New Ranch Hands volunteers will receive a t-shirt at the beginning of each session which should be worn to each work day. Orientation day: January 10 or January 17, 9-12
Steps to becoming a Ranch Hand:
1) Apply! by clicking here. In your application, you will be asked to write at least one paragraph telling us "why" you want to work at Sienna Ranch. What do you hope to gain from your experience?
2) Attend one of our orientation days so you can meet our staff, our animals, and our land. This way, we can meet you as well.
3) Wait to hear from us! We will contact you on January 18th to let you know if you are invited to the next session of Sienna Ranch "Ranch Hands"! While we'd love to accept all Ranch Hands applicants, we can only accept 8 per session.
