A benefit for the EcoRanch Project
On one Sunday of each month, Sienna Ranch will open its doors for a special family and community day. Come enjoy the activites, good company, healthy food, and the wholesome environment at Sienna Ranch. Family Day is fun for all ages.
Horse and pony rides, sustainability education and projects, archery, hayrides, survival skills activities, and more. Bring your own picnic lunch or buy from one of our healthy food vendors.
Family Days are on Sundays, 12:00-4:00.
Family Day Pass is $85 in advance ($105 if purchased the day of the event. Same day sales are available on a space available basis- no guarantees)
With the purchase of a family pass, you will get
admission to Sienna Ranch family day for up to 5 people 3 horse ride tickets
3 archery tickets
5 hayride tickets
participation in the hands-on sustainability or survival skill activity or project
unlimited animal visits to goats, sheep and chickensspecial demonstrations, entertainment, or hands-on projects (vary from month to month)
Healthy Lunches
Healthy lunches are available for an extra cost of $10/person. Lunches are catered by Rising Loafer Bakery, in Lafayette, CA. Lunch includes sandwich, salad, cookie, and drink. Sandwich choices include vegetarian, roast beef, or chicken salad. Healthy Lunches must be purchased in advance.

Refund or cancellation policy:
If Sienna Ranch cancels a Family Day due to rain, your Family Day registration will be transferred to a future date of your choice provided there is space. If your plans change and you are no able to attend Family Day, you can either transfer to a future date or request a refund (a $10 administrative fee will apply to refund requests)
All proceeds for Family Days benefit the EcoRanch project- an effort to establish Sienna Ranch as a demonstration site and educational center for sustainable living.
Projects to date include:
- completion of comprehensive sustainability design plan for Sienna Ranch
- rebuilding and relocation of animal pens to make space for an interactive “learning garden” at the heart of the ranch
- 1st season of adult sustainability classes and workshops
- installation of a rainwater tank which will store rainwater to nourish the learning garden
- terracing of hillside to create the foundation for a permaculture- based food forest which will grow food, enhance biodiversity, and build soil
- planting animal forage areas to grow food for goats, sheep, and chickens
- building out and planting the interactive learning garden
- hiring an EcoRanch Project Coordinator
- study of the hillsides and development of plan to restore native grasses and vegetation
- treatment of oaks on Sienna Ranch property to enhance health of oak woodlands
- installation of composting toilets
- guttering of all ranch roofs in order to catch and divert rainwater to usable areas
- building a series of small ponds for infiltration and wildlife habitat
