This week of Spring Break Camp at Sienna Ranch is designed to meet the needs of families needing a full week camp experience or those who are looking for the perfect opportunity to let their child try out the awesome programs at Sienna Ranch. Scheduling is very flexible. Choose from a M/W/F, T/Th, or full week schedule. Choose 1/2 day (9-1 or 2-5) or full day (9-5). When registering for a full day, receive complementary Ranch Play from 1-2 pm between the morning and afternoon camp choices.

CAMP DESCRIPTIONS
DAY CAMPS,
Farm Hands: Farm Life, Animal Care, and Old-Fashioned Arts and Crafts
Ages 4-6 or 7-10
Spend a week with the residents of Sienna Ranch- the chickens, ducks, sheep, goats, bunnies, and pony. Campers will experience close interaction as they learn about and care for our farm animals. Young children will delight in hearing the special “histories” of the animals which live on the ranch. Old fashioned arts, crafts, and games will enhance the camp experience.
Farm Hands campers will enjoy unique activities including milking Rosie, the goat, making goat cheese, bottle-feeding baby goats, making homemade strawberry ice cream with strawberries harvested from the garden, and felting with wool from Buckie the sheep. Our staff bring a passion for youth and animals together in this fantastic program where children will not only build relationships and truly learn respect for the living creatures at Sienna Ranch, but will also delight in some of the simple pleasures which used to entertain children in times past. Nature Explorers Ages 6-10 This camp brings together all the favorite lessons and activities from Sienna Ranch’s popular year-round program, Explorers: Nature and Adventure. Wilderness skills, survival, nature awareness, local ecology, animal tracking, and primitive skills and crafts are the backbone for a unique, enriching, and fun camp experience. Sienna Ranch camps nurture in children an appreciation for the Earth and her gifts, while inspiring in them a desire to seek out more experiences in nature. Activities may include: Animal interaction (goats, sheep, chickens, pony, rabbits), archery, orienteering, primitive skills, wild foods, fire-making, hiking in Briones, tipi play, confidence building challenges and games, nature-based crafts, tree climbing. AFTERNOON CAMPS, Fun with Horses: Just “horsing” Around ages 6-10 How do you teach a horse to do tricks? What "spooks" a horse, and how do you train them not to be scared? What are the signs of a healthy horse on their teeth, hooves,and coat? What is needed to properly care for a horse? How can you tell what a horse is thinking and feeling? Fun with Horses camp is designed to expose campers to interesting and fun horse-related topics. Campers will learn from the horse "teachers" at the ranch and enjoy interacting with the horses in a new and fun way. Experiential Building: Tree Forts and More! ages 6-10 Sienna Ranch's unique building and carpentry camp. Join Chris for a fun-filled journey into the world of hammers, saw-dust and tree forts. Campers will first work on individual projects which introduce basic carpentry skills and build on skills already mastered by students. Skills include the safe use of hand tools, sketching, technical drawing, and construction methods. Next, we will design and build group projects which are usable on and around the ranch. Older campers (ages 8+) will contribute to our ever-growing, student-designed tree fort under the oak tree on the beautiful hill overlooking Sienna Ranch. We provide the framework and materials- campers bring their inspiration and creativity.
